The purpose of the Switzer Research Fellowships program is to build research capacity by providing support to highly qualified individuals, including individuals with disabilities, to conduct research on rehabilitation, independent living, and other experiences and outcomes of people with disabilities. Only individuals are eligible to apply for NIDILRR Switzer Research Fellowship grants. Fellows must conduct original research in an area authorized by section 204 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, as amended. NIDILRR plans to make six fellowship awards under this opportunity. Fellowship awards will have one 12-month project period.
