The application period is open year-round. The foundation accepts applications anytime, though applicants must submit them at least 90 days prior to proposed conference start date. Applicants can review application instructions for further information.

Application Instructions
All applications must be submitted online at: grants.parkinson.org; no paper copies will be accepted. Please visit our website for important dates and deadlines for applying to
the Conference Award program.

Online Submission
Using a maximum of four pages with 1” margins and a 12-point font, applicants should submit the
following information. Please note that the budget, preliminary program, and biosketch are not included
in the four-page limit. Applications must be submitted in Microsoft Word or Adobe PDF format:

1. Title
• Working title of the meeting or conference.
2. Summary (1,500 characters with spaces; ~250 words)
• The summary should include:
o Date and location of the meeting.
o Brief explanation of meeting need and anticipated accomplishments.
3. Conference Need and Justification
• Scientific relevance of the proposed meeting for PD research. Why is it necessary? What is the
outstanding question?
• Description of the scientific goals of the meeting. What will be the outcomes of the meeting? How
will this advance the field? How will the results be shared?
• Plan for engaging the community through the inclusion of representatives with Parkinson’s
disease in the planning, participation and/or evaluation of the meeting.
• Estimate of the number of participants.
• Names and roles of co-applicants.
• Conference location and justification.
• Planned or proposed funding partners.
• Plan to make results public.
4. Budget and justification (may be in Excel format)
5. Preliminary Program
• Including Key participants (identify whether planned, invited or accepted).
6. Biosketch
• Submitted by the organizer and key co-applicants. Please use current NIH format.
