PLEASE NOTE:  In section 7, titled “Institution and Personnel,” the PI-applicants  must

• select “University of Iowa” as the institution;
• select “J. Martin Scholtz (email era@uiowa.edu)” as the Grants Officer; and
• select “Maria Soliman” as the Fiscal Officer,
  • Selecting anything else will cause delays and could mean the application is not submitted prior to the deadline.
• Complete the UI Routing Form/process to secure departmental and collegiate approvals at least five business days before the AHA submission deadline.

ProposalCentral/Altum and AHA offices will be closed Thursday, Nov. 26 through Sunday, Nov. 29, 2020. Assistance will not be available during this time.
Applicants are strongly encouraged to complete their submissions early.

 
AHA Predoctoral Fellowship

Enhances the training of promising students in pre-doctoral or clinical health professional degree training programs and who intend careers as scientists, physician-scientists or other clinician-scientists, or related careers aimed at improving global health and wellbeing.

AHA Postdoctoral Fellowship

Enhances the training of postdoctoral applicants who are not yet independent. The applicant must be embedded in an appropriate research group with the mentorship, support, and relevant scientific guidance of a research supervisor.
