The Alpha-1 Foundation offers grants in six different categories:

• Bridge
• Ethical, Legal, and Social Issues (ELSI) Relating to Alpha-1 Antitrypsin Deficiency
• John W. Walsh Career Development
• Pilot and Feasibility
• Postdoctoral Research Fellowship
• Research

The specific aims of the Grant Awards Program are to promote research that would eventually result in the improved health of individuals with AAT Deficiency and to find a cure for AAT Deficiency. To achieve these aims, the Foundation offers financial awards to support a wide range of meritorious research related to AAT Deficiency.
