Bench-to-Bedside and Back Program (BtB) is a two year awards program. These awards are viewed as seed awards for new translational research projects reflecting partnerships between basic and clinical investigators, many of which led to larger awards with expanded scientific aims. The bedside component encompasses clinical activities, and applicants can also propose studies impacting community health.

Criteria for Proposal
Proposals can fall into one or more of the following categories based on the requested funding sources. Please note that any application with Rare Diseases category will be considered for funding by BtB program funds.

• Behavioral and social sciences (OBSSR)
• Dietary supplements (ODS)
• Minority health (NIMHD)
• Women's health (ORWH)
• General (Program funds)
