The purpose of this notice of funding opportunity is to conduct and/or facilitate epidemiologic studies and surveillance, clinical research, clinical trials, laboratory, and operations research on infectious diseases to include emerging infectious diseases like COVID-19, non-communicable diseases, and environmental health in Kenya to better understand disease burden, risk factors, and effective interventions to influence policy and decrease morbidity and mortality. To accomplish these goals, the CDC/Center for Global Health also seeks to further strengthen national capacity in Kenyan institutions to effectively manage physical infrastructure and assets and improve fiscal oversight of USG-funded research at CDC-supported research sites. Other priority areas:  Influenza and respiratory pathogens; malaria; HIV and TB tuberculosis.
