CDC strongly urges interested applicants to submit a letter of intent (LOI) by April 15, 2020.

This announcement is only for non-research activities supported by CDC.

The purpose of this NOFO is to provide credible health information and evidence-based training as well as to support the implementation and evaluation of evidence-based health promotion and education programs aimed at reducing or preventing complications of blood disorders on a national level; specifically: hemophilia and von Willebrand Disease, or venous thromboembolism, or thalassemia. These health-related activities may include: (1) implementing and evaluating public health promotion and wellness programs and initiatives, (2) improving access to health promotion programs and activities, (3) developing, disseminating, and evaluating health communication materials, and (4) developing, implementing, and evaluating training for healthcare providers. Outcomes may include increased knowledge and awareness of signs, symptoms, diagnosis, and best treatment practices by consumers and healthcare providers and increased access to/receipt of screening and specialty services.
