Three types of awards are available:

• Career Development Award - Mentored awards intended to facilitate the development of individuals with research potential to prepare for a career of independent basic research investigation in the area of inflammatory bowel disease (IBD).
• Senior Research Award - To provide established researchers with funds to generate sufficient preliminary data to become competitive for funds from other sources such as the National Institutes of Health (NIH).
• Research Fellowship Award - Intended to support individuals in the post-doctoral phase of their career, to develop skills related to basic research investigation in the field of inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), or Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis.

Eligibility for these awards is not restricted by citizenship.
