Office of Academic Exchange Programs, Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs (ECA), invites proposal submissions . . . . for the design and implementation of twelve Young Southeast Asian Leaders Initiative YSEALI Academic Fellowship Institutes. The Institutes should take place in the fall of 2018 and spring of 2019, pending the availability of FY 2018 funds. The YSEALI Academic Fellowship will provide up to approximately 250 undergraduate and recent graduates from throughout Southeast Asia with a foundation in one of three themes: Civic Engagement, Environmental Issues and Natural Resource Management, and Social Entrepreneurship and Economic Development.

University of Iowa applicants are requested to contact Cheryl Ridgeway  cheryl-a-ridgeway@uiowa.edu  in the Office of the Vice President for Research a month prior to the deadline if interested in applying to ensure application guidelines are met and avoid disqualification. If multiple proposals are received from the same applicant organization, all submissions will be declared ineligible.
