The UIowa Office of the Vice President for Research asks prospective University of Iowa applicants to limited Dept of State programs to email as soon as possible a one-page abstract of their proposal with a link to the program of interest to Ann Knudson ann-knudson@uiowa.edu  at UI International Programs Grants Administrator, with a cc to Cheryl Ridgeway cheryl-a-ridgeway@uiowa.edu  in the UI Office of the Vice President for Research OVPR. Please send this email at least 30 days in advance of the deadline.  If more than two abstracts to this solicitation are received, an internal review will be conducted to select the applicants to submit on behalf of the University of Iowa. 

The FAIT Fellowship provides undergraduate or graduate students with funding to assist in the completion a four-year undergraduate degree (junior and senior year); or, a two-year master's degree in an area relevant to the IT needs of the Department of State.
