 Organizations may submit one proposal for each project, but no more than one proposal per project.
  • Project 1: Entrepreneurship and Software Engineering: To develop and leverage entrepreneurial skills of women in and around Hyderabad, Sukkur, Khairpur, and Larkana, particularly in the textile industry.
  • Project 2: STEM Hackathon:  A STEM hackathon for female programmers in Karachi, Hyderabad, and Quetta, to engage more girls in STEM-related fields; to help women in STEM-related fields to find and connect with mentors; and to identify solutions to career or education-related challenges that women in STEM fields face. 

Note: Many Department of State programs are limited to one application per organization. The UIowa OVPR asks prospective University of Iowa applicants to limited DRL programs to email as soon as possible a one-page abstract of their proposal with a link to the program of interest to Ann Knudson ann-knudson@uiowa.edu  at UI International Programs Grants Administrator, with a cc to Cheryl Ridgeway cheryl-a-ridgeway@uiowa.edu  in the UI Office of the Vice President for Research. Please send this email at least 30 days in advance of the deadline if possible.  If more than two abstracts to this solicitation are received, an internal review will be conducted to select the applicants to submit on behalf of the University of Iowa.
