The project is designed to develop Georgian university research faculties’ teaching capacity in western research methodology and approaches and to increase publication of peer-reviewed articles by Georgian researchers, with the long-term goal of advancing Georgia’s economic growth. Upon completion of the program, the Georgian faculties should refined the existing research methodology curriculum, honed their skills in teaching quantitative and qualitative research as well as academic writing, improved instruction in scientific ethics, oral and poster presentation skills, and library usage. In addition, faculty member should have mentored PhD students in research methods, so that the mentees are better able to develop analytical papers, communicate research findings to other researchers and policy makers, and eventually publish in peer-reviewed articles. The proposal may also include teaching academic English and updating Georgian research library capacities and resources.
