The Ambassadors Fund for Cultural Preservation AFCP supports the preservation of cultural sites, cultural objects, and forms of traditional cultural expression in more than 100 countries around the world, including Nigeria. 
AFCP-supported projects include the restoration of ancient and historic buildings, assessment and conservation of rare manuscripts and museum collections, preservation and protection of important archaeological sites, and the documentation of vanishing traditional craft techniques and indigenous languages.

Many Department of State Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs (ECA) opportunities are limited to one application per organization.  University of Iowa applicants are requested to contact Cheryl Ridgeway  cheryl-a-ridgeway@uiowa.edu  in the Office of the Vice President for Research one month prior to the deadline if interested in applying to this opportunity, to certify application guidelines are met and to avoid disqualification. If multiple proposals are received from the same applicant organization, all submissions may be declared ineligible.
