Office for Victims of Crime OVC FY 2018 Advancing Hospital-Based Victim Services
Limited to one per institution.
If you wish to apply to a program that limits the number of applications allowed per institution, please email a one-page abstract about your proposal with a link to the program of interest to Cheryl Ridgeway firstname.lastname@example.org in the Office of the Vice President for Research and Economic Development with a cc to the Division of Sponsored Programs email@example.com at least 30 days in advance of the deadline. If we receive multiple abstracts in response to a given solicitation, a review will be conducted to select the applicant to submit on behalf of the University of Iowa.
In an effort to expand the use of hospitals and other medical facilities as an entry point to increase support for victims of crime, improve their outcomes, and prevent chances for repeat victimization, this solicitation will fund up to eight demonstration sites to implement or expand hospital-based/affiliated programs to support crime victims using evidence-based models and practices with victim-centered approaches (Purpose Area 1). Additionally, the solicitation will fund one applicant to provide comprehensive technical assistance (TA) to the demonstration sites and develop TA resources and tools to support this effort (Purpose Area 2). OVC will conduct one pre-application webinar on June 6, 2018, from 3:00-4:00 pm ET.
