Overview:  With this solicitation, NIJ seeks proposals for rigorous research and evaluation projects that address
(1) the impact of re-allocation of resources on police operations and functions;
(2) police use of force and de-escalation tactics and strategies; and
(3) tactics and strategies that strengthen police-community relationships.
 Among other areas of interest, NIJ is interested in studies examining the approaches that address the challenges of policing in rural communities.
