Limited to one application per institution.

HRSA solicitations generally limit the number of applications that may go forward in response to a specific solicitation.  If you wish to apply to a program that limits the number of applications allowed per institution, please convey your interest by emailing a one-page abstract about your proposal to  in the Office of the Vice President for Research and Economic Development with a cc to the Division of Sponsored Programs DSP  or   as soon as possible, but at least 30 days in advance of the deadline.  If we receive multiple abstracts in response to a given solicitation, a review will be conducted to select the applicant to submit on behalf of the University of Iowa.  Application materials are due in DSP at least 5 business days prior to the deadline.

This notice solicits applications for the Thalassemia Program. The purpose of this program is to improve quality of care delivered to individuals with clinically significant thalassemia, especially those who are transfusion-dependent. Awardees will establish collaborative regional networks that use collective impact[1] strategies and telehealth to (1) promote the use of expert recommended and evidence-informed care, and (2) improve capacity of primary and subspecialty care clinicians to manage thalassemia, particularly in remote and/or medically underserved communities.
