Iowa Innovation Challenge - Business Model Competition for Entrepreneurial Projects at the UI

The Innovation Challenge is a university-wide competition with the goal to identify, advance, and support the most innovative and entrepreneurial projects on campus.

The deadline to apply is MARCH 24, 2022 for the second phase of the competition that will be held April 11-12, 2022 and will award $175,000 in prizes. Iowa JPEC awarded $75,000 in prizes in the fall during the first phase of the competition. 

An in-person information workshop will be held March 4 from 11:30 a.m.-12:20 p.m.  To sign up, contact jan-finlayson@uiowa.edu. Additional drop-in coaching is available March 11, 25, and April 1, 2022 between 10:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m..  The workshop and coaching sessions will be held at the Bedell Entrepreneurial Learning Laboratory (BELL) 322 N. Clinton St. in Iowa City.

This Competition is open to all University of Iowa: Faculty, Staff, Graduate Students, Undergraduate Students, Incubator Startups, UI Program or Academic Alumni.
