The Microsoft PhD Fellowship opportunity is a two-year program for PhD students pursuing research aligned to the research areas carried out by Microsoft Research: Artificial Intelligence AI; Computer Vision; Human-Computer Interaction; Security, Privacy & Cryptography; Systems & Networking.
Successful applicants will receive tuition and fees for two academic years (2021-22 and 2022-23) plus stipend. Applications are due by 5:00 pm, PDT on Friday, August 14, 2020.  Eligibility includes:

Doctoral students must be in their third year of PhD studies in the fall semester or quarter of 2020 and nominated by the department chair’s office in their field of study. A maximum of three nominations per department will be accepted; if more than two are nominated, then at least one nominee should help us increase the opportunities for students who are underrepresented in the field of computing. This includes those who self-identify as a woman, African American, Black, Hispanic, Latinx, American Indian, Alaska Native, Native Hawaiian, Pacific Islander, and/or person with a disability.
