NASA's Advanced Information Systems Technology (AIST) Program identifies, develops, and supports adoption of information systems expected to be needed by the Earth Science Division in the next 5-20 years. This AIST call for proposals focuses on technologies and innovative concepts that enable 3 main objectives:

O1.   New observation measurements and new observing systems design and operations through intelligent, timely, dynamic, and coordinated distributed sensing;

O2.   Agile Science investigations that fully utilize the many and diverse observations using advanced analytic tools, visualizations and computing environments, and that interact seamlessly with relevant observing systems;

O3.   Integrated Earth Science frameworks that will mirror Earth Science systems with state-of-the-art models, timely and relevant observations and analytic tools that will enable near- and long-term Science and policy decisions ("science decisions" include acquisition of new measurements, development of new models or science analysis, new data assimilation or fusion, etc.)

ROSES-2021 Amendment 25 releases final text and due dates for A.46 AIST, which was previously "TBD". Step-1 proposals are due August 25, 2021, and Step-2 proposals are due November 30, 2021.
