The Stratospheric Observatory for Infrared Astronomy (SOFIA) is pleased to invite proposals for the third round of the SOFIA Legacy Program, aimed at generating astronomical data of significant value to the astronomical community by yielding results addressing specific science goals as well as providing a rich archival data set for future analysis. For Cycle 10 we expect to have a number of SLP projects carried over from previous cycles due to the disruption to observing in Cycle 8, particularly in the southern hemisphere. The SOFIA project, therefore, expects to select up to three SLP proposals from this solicitation to be executed over two observing cycles. The programs are expected to be allocated up to 200 hours of observing time each (with approximately half of these hours of observations per cycle).
