Patient education about migraine empowers individuals, helps diagnose those who are currently undiagnosed, improves treatment outcomes, and enhances overall quality of life for those affected by migraine.

However, due to multiple factors including social/public, structural and self-stigma, migraine education is lacking for people living with migraine. There is a need for educational programs that increase availability and accessibility of current, evidence-based information and promote informed decision-making and active participation in one’s migraine care.
