Research projects for the PHA Innovation Research Award may introduce a new scientific or medical paradigm, challenge a current paradigm, or look at an existing problem from a new perspective. The research project should be a novel area of research that would not be able to be explored without PHA funding. Any areas of innovative pulmonary hypertension (PH) research will be accepted. Areas of focus include but are not limited to:

• - Novel in vitro or in vivo models of PH
• - Unique approaches for leveraging PH biorepositories or clinical databases or registries
• - Novel clinical trial endpoints or outcomes to support PH clinical trials
• - New pathways or mechanisms of action for PH
