Funding Areas

What we are interested in.

Back in 1941 when Villum Kann Rasmussen established his first company, he was determined to bring daylight into people’s lives.

Today, research on the effects of daylight is a core funding area of the foundation and is complemented by ophthalmology research and research on healthy ageing and forestry. There is plenty of overlap between some of the funding areas and all are inherently interdisciplinary.

We are interested in questions that touch on one or more funding areas, as well as challenges within one of the funding areas that call for interdisciplinary approaches.
