The lead investigator must be an MD and/or PhD with faculty appointment of investigator, assistant professor or higher at an accredited U.S. academic institution or similar not-for-profit medical research institution. Applications are due by June 20, 2017.

Applications should only be for studies that are exploring basic, clinical or epidemiological lines of inquiry.  Research should be related to one of FWW’s priority areas which include:

• Cardiovascular disease
• Leading female cancers
• Role of hormones in disease and stage-of-life health concerns
• Diseases or health concerns that disproportionately afflict women
• Exploration of gender differences related to the aforementioned topics
