Spring 2021 Grant Cycle

St. Baldrick’s Foundation grants are limited to one submission per institution per grant program.
Letter of Intent (LOI) due by December 4, 2020; interested UIowa faculty should send a brief abstract (one page) with biosketch 3 weeks in advance of each LOI deadline, i.e. by November 13, 2020, to  Tami Thompson tami-thompson@uiowa.edu .
Application is due by February 19, 2021.
Spring cycle grants are funded based on scientific review. The following programs/categories are available in the Spring 2021 Cycle:
St. Baldrick’s Scholars -
Three or more years of funding awarded to early career professionals who are pursuing exciting research and without funding might have to leave the field.  https://www.stbaldricks.org/file/Research/2021-SBF-Scholar-Guidelines.pdf
St. Baldrick’s International Scholars - Awards to train researchers from low- and middle- income countries to prepare them to answer specific research questions related to childhood cancer in their home country.  https://www.stbaldricks.org/file/Research/2021-SBF-International-Scholar-Guidelines.pdf

Fall 2021 Grant Cycle

St. Baldrick’s Foundation grants are limited to one submission per institution per grant program.
Letter of Intent (LOI) due by July 9, 2021;  interested UIowa faculty should send a brief abstract (one page) with biosketch 3 weeks in advance of each LOI deadline, i.e. by June 18, 2021, to Dr.  Yatin Vyas  yatin-vyas@uiowa.edu.
Application due by August 27, 2021.
The following programs/categories are available in the Fall 2021 Cycle: 
Infrastructure Grants -
Funding to help institutions treat more children in clinical trials or for resources to make more research possible. (These grants are funded based on need, expected results, and local St. Baldrick’s participation, with a strong priority on geographic areas with no other St. Baldrick’s funding.) The 2021 Infrastructure Guidelines will be posted on the St. Baldrick's site when available.  The 2020 St. Baldrick’s Foundation Infrastructure Grant Guidelines
St. Baldrick’s Fellows - Two to three years of funding to provide new doctors with training in childhood cancer research. Fellows are funded based on scientific review.
