Proposals are accepted to conduct a four-week exchange program in the United States in summer 2019 for approximately 25 high school girls from Central Asia focused on promoting the high-level study of technology. Echoing the goals of the TechWomen program, TechGirls supports development in the field of technology and enables young women to reach their full potential in the technology industry. The program builds on the U.S. global commitment to advance the rights of women and girls around the world and promote science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) education. It also fosters connections and understanding among the youth of the United States and the countries of Central Asia.

Limited to ONE application per organization. At least 30 days prior to the sponsor's deadline, please contact Cheryl Ridgeway cheryl-a-ridgeway@uiowa.edu 384-3332 in the Office of the Vice President for Research to ensure only one application goes forward from the University. Multiple proposals from an organization will render all proposals ineligible.
