The JPC-6/CCCRP is a committee of Department of Defense (DOD) and non-DOD medical and military technical experts in combat casualty care-related program areas.
The Combat Casualty Care Research Program (CCCRP) seeks to drive medical innovation through development of knowledge and materiel solutions for the acute and early management of combat-related trauma, including point-of-injury, en route, and facility-based care in order to optimize survival and recovery from combat-related injury in current and future operational scenarios.
A primary emphasis of the CCCRP is to identify and develop medical techniques, knowledge products, and materiel (medical devices, drugs, and biologics) for early intervention in life-threatening battle injuries and prolonged care. Development and validation of in vitro and in vivo assessment models that represent military-relevant conditions in wounded Service Members, as well as those that incorporate a systems biology approach, are of interest to the CCCRP when they can be used to identify and describe the safety and efficacy of novel technologies in patients in a predictable manner.
