Mission and Purpose

The mission of the Lung Cancer Initiative (LCI) is to advance survivorship and provide support to those affected by lung cancer through research, education and access programs.

Innovation Award Purpose: Through the Vicky Amidon Innovation Grant in Lung Cancer Research, LCI aims to recognize and provide research funding for exceptionally novel and creative lung cancer projects that will improve the lives of those diagnosed with lung cancer. The proposed research may be basic, translational, clinical or epidemiological and must have direct applicability and relevance to lung cancer. Applications must include innovative approaches and new ideas to be eligible for funding.

General Information

The award is granted for one year. The stipend is up to $25,000 and up to 2 proposal will be funded.
